Well summer is here, although from the weather it’s hardly noticable, the early week of sunshine we had back at easter now seems distant after several weeks of rain. But lets keep our fingers crossed that the rest of June and July will provide us with some nice sunny days to enjoy a cool Arran Ale. As always we’d like to send out these newsletters more often, but time is constantly against us and we never seem to have the time, so here’s our summer update.
Devils Dyke Brewery
We have recently acquired the Devils Dyke Brewery near Cambridge, we’re bringing it back into production, and will be bringing their fine Ales up to Scotland, and sending some of our fine ales down to them. We’ve just finalised the redesigned artwork for their pumpclips, and are just waiting for the first to arrive from the printers. So look out for a range of new ales available through us, or if you’re in the Cambridge area, look out for Devils Dyke Ales, and Arran Brewery Ales in your local.
Arran Brewery goes Green(er)
Arran Brewery is installing bio-diesel manufacturing equipment at each of its sites that have commercial kitchens so that spent oil from the cooking process can be made into bio-diesel and used as fuel in its heating boilers.
Fathers Day offer
Well, Fathers day is only a short week away, so why not send him one of his favourite Arran Ales. To help out towards this, we’re offering a Fathers Day 10% discount to our newsletter subscribers, to get this discount, simply enter “Fathers2015” (without quotes) into the discount box during the purchase process. (Because we’re a little late sending this out, this offer is open until the 26th of June.)
We’ve also just acquired the former Bowery Bar in Kilbirnie Ayrshire, which we’ve received all the relevant licences and are now refitting into a Gastro Pub. We’ve renamed it the Weavers, in homage to the long weaving tradition in the village, and look forwards to it being open during the summer.
From everyone at the brewery, we all hope you have a good father’s day!
Many thanks, from everybody at The Arran Brewery ,
