November News from us at Arran Brewery (there's lots of it again!)

It's another bonanza of updates from us again so settle down with an Arran Blonde (or our new Arran Brew Coffee!) and catch up with what's happening at Arran Brewery.

The prodigal son (in-law) returns!

Those of you who follow the Arran Brewery Facebook page will already know, but we sent our number one man Yorick away to lovely sunny Sunderland for a month on an intensive brewing course with the world wide esteemed BrewLab!

As one of the core members of our tiny family and brewery team it was tough to have him away for such a long time but by sharpening his knowledge he will be able to lead us into 2025 as our new Head Brewer!

Now to that end you'll be glad to hear that Yorick passed his exams with flying colours, attaining a Distinction overall! Good job Yorick!

Now the only problem we've encountered is that combined with the undeniably great work he's done revamping our Brewery Shop and entertaining so many people on our Brewery Tours, his already massive head has had another ego boost and he's now referring to himself as a "Distinguished Brewer"....

We'll just have to humble him by putting him on fermenter cleaning duty for the rest of winter and keep reminding him that his belly is growing to match his head...

Arran Brew Coffee available now!

We've gotten a bit over excited and had Janette at A Touch of Enchantment make us up some mugs and coasters!

Arran Brew Coasters!

As you can read about below, we've got a brand spanking new Arran Brewery website. What that has allowed us to do is finally get our new and very popular Arran Brew coffee available online for mail order!

We've already had our first few orders from those eager beavers among you who have been craving the Cir Mhór after trying a bag in our shop this summer and we hope that some more of you will take a leap of faith with us and try some this winter.

It's delicious! I swear!

The King's Cave blend is our in house go-to blend, but have a look at what we offer and find your own favourite!

Arran Coffee Here!

New Website, Same Old Brewery.

We've got a brand new website! Yorick has been busy lately, he's also put together a brand new website! (The reason we mention his name specifically is so you all know to blame when something doesn't work).

Hopefully this new website should be a good bit sleeker than the last one and is designed to make getting our beer much easier!

The website is still very much in it's infancy so please bare with us while we work out any kinks (some of you have already been very patient with us!) and please feel free to email yorick@arranbrewery.co.uk for any queries or things you find that are broken!

Beer is on the way.

Now as any of you who have kept up with us at Arran Brewery for the last twelve months will know, it's not been a fantastic year for brewing, with our broken boiler knocking us out of action until September.

You'll also have no doubt noticed the effect that has had on our beer stocks! We were hoping to have recovered a bit more by now but alas we've run into a few more issues since then and we're still quite a bit behind.

If you're really interested, our bottling machine is completely broken! Luckily that isn't as catastrophic as a boiler as we can send our fantastic Arran Beer away in big tanks to be bottled!

Don't panic!

We've got plenty of Arran Blonde in stock for Christmas!

Buy Blonde Here!

Now that being said, we've not been idle! We've been working Veronica and Yorick to the bone all year and they'll be hard at it for the rest of winter so that we can get everything back in stock ready for next year. (So if you see them around looking like zombies you know why!)

In the meantime we've also sent away a couple thousand bottles worth of Arran Dark (in a big tank!) away to the mainland for bottling and we are hoping to have that back with us on Arran and available for mail order by the beginning of December. We will let you all know when it's back!

Furthermore, thanks to the gracious kindness of our dear friends at Arran Distillers (thanks Graham and Katie!) we've also got four whisky barrels worth of Milestone maturing away in our cold room so that we can get our very special Milestone Special Reserve out just in time to be mailed out for Christmas!

We bottle the Milestone Special Reserve by hand in our Shop at Cladach, which is always a "spectacle" so if you're passing by the brewery in December please don't be alarmed if you find a beer covered Yorkshireman swearing Vehemently. That's normal.

Milestone Special Reserve on it's way!

Here's a sneak peak at this years Milestone Special Reserve being aged in Arran Whisky Barrells!

Finally we have it on good authority that our new Head Brewer (emphasis on the head, because it's so massive...) fully intends to brew our Viking themed beer Valhalla again before the new year.

Valhalla is our Coffee Stout and is a beer that hasn't been brewed since 2021. Valhalla is named after the process we call "sending the yeast to Valhalla" and any of you who have had visited us for a brewery tour in the last few years will know that is a reason to be very excited!".

You can read more about Valhalla next time!

That's about it for this news update. (or at least my computer is telling me I'm not allowed to add any more sections...) But before we go I'd like to say thank you to everyone who has visited us over the past few months and wished us well in our brewing endeavours, it means a lot!

Thanks!
