Formerly known as the Arran Ale, the Guid ale is… well… a good ale!
Inspired by the poem of the same name by Ayrshire’s very own Robert Burns, this Session Ale is best described as a stereotypical Bitter (which are of course not bitter at all…). Featuring delicious caramel flavours this ale is noticeably smooth and incredibly “Sessionable”, this Guid Ale is perfect for supping on all day!

O, guid ale comes, and guid ale goes,

Nose: Perfumed Hop aroma.
Palate: Delicate balance of malt & fruit with a dry hop finish

With: Spicier foods or foods with a sweet and sour edge such as BBQ foods; spicy sausage; wild duck or woodcock; sweet and sour dishes
With cheese: Tangy cheeses such as mature cheddar, or Lancashire or Red Cheshire; hard cheeses which are salty or have a sour edge.
